How are medications shipped and when?

Once your prescription has been approved by your doctor it will be sent to the pharmacy to be filled.

The information provided below is an estimation based on typical volume. Please be aware that depending on volume, it may take 2-3 business days for a prescription to ship once it is received by the pharmacy.
In the US:
  1. Shipping days are Monday through Thursday (excluding holidays)
  2. Prescriptions received by the pharmacy before 3PM ET on shipping days are typically shipped the same day
  3. Prescriptions received by the pharmacy after 3PM ET are typically shipped the next shipping day
  4. Prescriptions received by the pharmacy after 3PM ET on Thursday or Friday through Sunday are typically shipped on Monday
  5. Prescriptions are shipped in a temperature controlled package
  6. Prescriptions are shipped via UPS Next-Day shipping
  7. Each shipment is fully insured for lost prescriptions (does not include replacement if patient provides incorrect shipping address)
In Canada:
  1. Shipping days are Monday through Friday (excluding holidays)
  2. Prescriptions received by the pharmacy before 2PM ET on shipping days are typically shipped the same day
  3. Prescriptions received by the pharmacy after 2PM ET are typically shipped the next shipping day
  4. Prescriptions received by the pharmacy after 2PM ET on Friday or on Saturday or Sunday are typically shipped on Monday
  5. Prescriptions are shipped in a temperature controlled package when necessary
  6. Prescriptions are shipped via Canada Post or Purolator; shipping provider and method varies depending on location
